Explanation (if you haven't seen all of these shows): Nathan Fillion played Mal on Firefly and Serenity, which is how he is depicted here. The fun is that he also played evil-preacher-lieutenant-of-the-First-Evil Caleb on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and Angel was present for the last encounter with him, and never really got closure for getting ungracefully knocked across the room by him) and Captain Hammer, the arrogant and smarmy superhero and nemesis of the protagonist, Dr. Horrible, in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

Stuff: This is Dr. Horrible as seen at the end of the sing-along blog. Buffy and Angel are wearing their Claddagh rings (though you can barely see Angel's from this angle, if at all) and Buffy's wearing the necklace he gave her. That is supposed to be Angel's favorite broadsword, if I recalled its shape correctly. Buffy is wielding the Scythe of sheer awesomeness, which is what she used to cut Caleb in half. Also, I realize that Buffy doesn't tend to dress like that, but as far as slayage wear goes, practicality should beat fashionability every time, so high heels and dressy clothes are out.
