And now it's done! I might tinker with the shading a bit in future, but I'm fairly happy with it the way it is. I also plan to make a desktop version, or possibly several of them; one for each of the four close up or focusing on one of the two couples or something.
Anyway, this is a present for the author of an indescribably awesome novel-length piece of fanfiction, who agrees with me that it was a tragedy that we never got to see all four of our favorite vamps together in modern times. We got Angelus, Spike, and Dru and then Angel, Darla, and Dru, and more of Angel and Darla or Spike and Dru, and then Angel and Spike, but never all four of them onscreen together at once after the flashbacks to 1898, and certainly not with Angelus, rather than Angel. Though this lack of reunion was undoubtedly quite fortunate for the general populous of extras on the shows, it was sad for the audience. So here they are. I sketched them first, then inked them on Illustrator, and finally colored them on Photoshop. Both of the earlier phases have been posted as well. Overall, this project took an obscenely long time.
Stuff to notice: Angelus has blood on his fingers (because he's the only one not wearing red clothing), he's wearing the belt buckle he wore in "Becoming", his Claddagh ring is turned with the heart pointing out, Dru's dress has a pattern similar to the one she wore in "Becoming", and Spike's hair is styled the way it was in the flashbacks to the '70s from "Fool for Love", because in my opinion, that hairdo looked far more sexy than his usual one, which resembles Ramen Noodles.
These vamps all belong to Joss Whedon, and the aforementioned fanfiction may be found here: [link]
And here's an older piece of Whedonverse fanart, with less realism and more crossovers: [link]
I noticed that Dru's doll is gagged instead of blindfolded. Did you do that intentionally?
Dru's dolls were gagged in the show, too. At least, they were in "School Hard" and "Innocence".
