I made this as the participation banner for the 2011 IWRY Marathon. Now that all of the stories have been posted, I can finally post it.

From the items on the desk, it should be fairly obvious to the hardcore Buffy/Angel fans that this is Angel's desk as it may have appeared shortly after the events of IWRY: mug of blood, broken clock, lots of sketches of the day that wasn't (the sketches are screencaps that went through several filters on Photoshop). Also, the Claddagh rings are there. My headcanon is that Angel has both rings (we never saw Buffy's again after Angel got spat out of hell on top of it, but we did see Angel's in the first episode of Angel S2, so it's reasonable to think he kept both of them somewhere safe and offscreen), and this seems like the sort of moment when he'd take them out from wherever he keeps them.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. It's really sad to think of Angel in the days following the day that wasn't, isn't it? I wish I could hug him. (I always wish I could hug him...)

Same here. And what sucks the most is that, outside of fanfiction, Buffy and everyone else will never know. That's what makes me so mad about people saying that Spike/Riley/whoever loved her most because of all their sacrifices...pshaw.

Gah, I know! But in a way, that makes Angel even more awesome, because he isn't looking for credit for all the amazing things he's done for her. Completely selfless. I adore him.

I really liked Spike in Buffy Season 7, and most of the last season of Angel, but then the fight over the goblet that turned out to be mountain dew just made me take a step backwards. And while I still like Spike, I just didn't think Spike deserved to win it. =( Angel will always be one of my dream men. <3

You know, according to the DVD commentary, the writers only let Spike win that fight because they felt like he deserved to win at least *one* fight against Angel, since he always lost them? A rather annoying reason, if you ask me. But it did lead to some good emotional arc stuff for Angel.

I didn't even like Spike in Buffy S7. He creeped me out rather massively when he was crazy, and then the way he handled things with Wood made me want to strangle him, and the whole time he was kind of just Buffy's yes-man. He followed her blindly, even when her actions started to become rather questionable. Unlike Angel, who could confront Buffy when he disagreed with her or thought she was out of line.
